We are currently recruiting for Future Branch Managers to be based in The Netherlands, Belgium and Spain.
POST DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Branch Managers of the branch where he/she is based, the Trainee Branch Manager will undergo training for a maximum period of two years, during which time the incumbent will assist with all Management Functions, including but not limited to:
– Administration (Staff Management, Payroll, Accounting, Debt Recovery and Control);
– Sales (Client visits, Business Development, Representation of the Company, Quotations);
– Technical (Fleet Management, Import and Export Management, Inventory, Planning & Scheduling)
The candidate will, during the training period, be requested and will be expected to perform one or more replacement assignments in countries across the European network.
Once the mandatory training period has been completed, the candidate can look forward to growing their career in the Company, based on performance during the training period and in a location according to the needs of the group.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Qualifications and Experience: A qualification in Transport and Logistics, with work experience of between 2-5 years in a deputy/assistant management or operational management role in a related industry or company in Europe.
Languages: The candidate must be fully bilingual in English, Dutch or Spanish. Basic knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
The ideal incumbent will have exceptional skills in management and leadership, a flexible and resilient nature, a high work output capacity, a drive to succeed and proven experience. It will be expected that the candidate master all sales, financial and accounting aspects related to the position, as well as all operational and logistical aspects of the transport and logistics industry.
The candidate must be readily available and geographically mobile at short notice during the training period.
The Offer
The type of contract offered for this role is a Local Contract in the country of posting. A fixed salary commensurate with experience will be offered.
